Privacy policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
World Map Quiz ("the game") is made by Andreas Fick Løjtnant Krusell ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to information about you when you play. If anything is unclear, write to grntxt@gmail.com.
The short version
- There is no account and no sign-in. We don't run servers that collect anything about you.
- Your progress and settings are saved on your own phone only.
- The game shows ads from Google AdMob: the child-safe kind for everyone, suitable for all ages and never personalised. Google may still collect some information from your device to show and measure them.
- There is nothing to buy in the game.

We are responsible ("data controller") for the game. Google is responsible for the information it collects through AdMob, under its own privacy policy.
Information saved on your phone only
The game saves the following on your device. It is never sent to us:
- Your best scores, your stamps and the dates you collected them.
- Your settings: language, distance units, sound, vibration and similar choices.
- How many stamps you have used today.
You can delete your progress under Settings → Reset progress. Uninstalling the game deletes all of it.
Ads (Google AdMob)
The game is free because it shows ads: a short ad after a finished round, and a longer ad you can choose to watch for more stamps. The ads come from Google AdMob, a service of Google.
To show ads, count them and prevent fraud, Google's software in the game may collect:
- Device identifiers, such as your phone's advertising ID.
- Your IP address, which can be used to estimate your approximate location (for example your country or city).
- Information about your device and the game, such as the model, operating system, language and app version.
- How you interact with ads (for example whether an ad was shown or tapped), and crash and performance information about the ad software.
The ads are child-safe for every player, whatever their age. Every ad request tells Google to treat it as directed at children and as coming from someone under the age of digital consent. Google then shows only ads suitable for all ages, doesn't personalise them, and limits how it uses the information it collects. For example, it doesn't build an advertising profile of you.
You can also reset your advertising ID, or ask apps not to use it for personalised ads, in your phone's settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads, or similar, depending on your phone).

Sharing pictures
When you share a stamp or your passport, the picture is made on your phone and sent with the app you choose, such as a messaging app. We don't receive it. The message contains a link to the game in Google Play.
Reading names aloud
Names are read by recordings included in the game, or by your phone's own text-to-speech voice. If your phone's voice is used, the speech service on your phone handles it under its own terms. The game doesn't send anything to us.
Why and on what legal basis
- Showing ads, counting them and preventing fraud: our legitimate interest in offering the game for free, and your consent where the law requires it. The ads are never personalised.
Transfers outside the EU
Google may process information outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Google relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses for these transfers.
How long information is kept
Information on your phone stays until you reset your progress or uninstall the game. Google keeps the information it collects according to its own retention policies.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your information, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable form, and withdraw your consent at any time without affecting what happened before. Because we don't hold information about you on our own systems, most requests about ad information are best sent to Google. You're always welcome to contact us at grntxt@gmail.com and we'll help.
You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Denmark that is Datatilsynet (www.datatilsynet.dk). You can also contact the authority in the country where you live.
Children
The game is made for a general audience and is suitable for all ages. We don't collect personal information from anyone, children included. Because some players may be children, every player gets the child-safe kind of ads described above: suitable for all ages, never personalised, and requested as directed at children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when the game gets new features. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is important, the game will tell you.
